I WONDER WHERE , I WONDER WHY?

       It has been almost ten months since our DANA SRI LANKA SOCIETY was formed. So far we have donated to our needy and worthy Burmese Sanghas studying in Sri Lanka nearly 17000 Singapore Dollars.

       The good people of Singapore and Dr. Thet Thet Nwe of Brunei have donated 1000 US dollars for SAYADAW U PUPPHA'S eye operation.

       Daw May Thida than alone put in 350 Singapore Dollars. She amazes us with her Saddha.

       U Nyi Nyi Than and Daw Myint Myint Aye and son Htoo Ain Si have donated one fridge to Sayadaw U Puppha.

       We have given many Soon Kways in Columbo, Makutarama. Who ever hear of this please call three loud 'SADHU' to us. We have also in hand some funds to send to our PhD scholars. Every month in excess of 2000 Singapore dollars we have been hoarding to load up the funds for this project. Its hard to believe but true we're starting this project without any foundation of substantial amount. Every month when we close the accounts we heave a sigh "Oh its all right for this month. Our monks in Sri Lanka can go on for this month. "Many of us are like big mothers pregnant with this project. If normally pregnant there is a due date for delivery, but with this one its an ongoing affair, month after month after month.

       Its our worst fear for this project to fizzle out. Last month there were a lot of talk about dependent passes being not renewed. Everybody feared for their family. I feared for 150 families from whom we collect monthly. We, the management committee of this society are duly proud of our humble achievements. I personally thank our Nawaka Sayadaws for their invaluable advice and kind attention rendered to us.

       May be in this long samsara we've done this before, I wonder where , I wonder how, I wonder why?
