Avijja-paccaya Sankhara .Avijja conditions Sankhara. Dependent on ignorance of the Four Noble Truths (avijja) arise activities (Sankhara): rebirth-producing volitions or Kamma formation). Avijja tricks beings by making life appear to them as pleasant and permanent. |

(2) Sankhara (Kamma-formation) |
Sankhara-paccayaVinnanam Sankhara conditions Vinnana. Dependent on kamma formations arises rebirth-consciousness (vinnana) for the first time at conception in the mother's womb. Sankhara make Vinnana(rebirth consciousness) arise and all 32 lokiya-vipeka cittas are produced to represent Vinnana. |
