        394. The same introduction. Having thus taken his seat, the Venerable Sariputta addressed the Venerable Anuruddha: "Friend Anuruddha, what methods should be cultivated and practised many times for one to become accomplished in super normal psychic powers."

        And what are the Four? In this Teaching, Friend, the bhikkhu keeps his mind steadfastly on the body, with diligence, comprehension and mindfulness, thus keeping away covetousness and distress in the five khandhas ... on Sensation ... p... on Mind ... p... on mind-objects, with diligence, comprehension and mindfulness, thus keeping away covetousness and distress in the five khandhas. Friend, by cultivating these Four Methods of Steadfast Mindfulness and practising them many times I became accomplished in super normal psychic powers. Moreover, Friend, by cultivating these Four Methods of Steadfast Mindfulness, and practising them many times. I know one thousand worlds by means of the super normal psychic power.
