Tatiya Jana Sutta
Third Discourse on Cause of Rebirth

      57. (The deva said:)

"What causes a being to come into existence?

What in him constantly runs hither and thither?

What undergoes the cycle of rebirths?

What can he ultimately rely on?"

      (The Bhagava said:)

"Craving causes a being to come into existence.

His mind constantly runs hither and thither.

Beings undergo the cycle of rebirths.

He can ultimately rely on his actions (past and present)."

End of the Tatiya Jana Sutta,
